Sharp thresholds and the random-cluster model

The random-cluster model is a variant of bond percolation inspired by
the Ising and Potts ferromagnetic models. I will discuss two types of
sharp thresholds relating to the random-cluster model. The first
relates to the emergence of long range order in the equilibrium two
dimensional Ising and Potts model. The second relates to the
metastability of the dynamic Ising model in the presence of an
external magnetic field.
