Imaging sciences, Bayesian statistics, and convex geometry and optimisation
vendredi 15 mars 2019, 11h00 - 12h00
Salle du conseil, espace Turing
This talk presents an overview of some exciting new work that is developing at the fertile interface between imaging sciences, Bayesian statistics, and convex geometry and optimisation. We will focus on new mathematical theory, methods and algorithms for solving imaging inverse problems, and pay particular attention to the pluridisciplinary aspects of the work. This will be illustrated with a range of examples related to satellite, medical, and astronomical imaging. The talk will conclude with a discussion of methods to perform uncertainty quantification in imaging.
