An Introduction to Reproducing Kernel Hilbert Spaces and Kernel Interpolation
Kernel methods are ubiquitous in various fields of mathematics, from density estimation to shape analysis. This talk presents the basics of RKHSs and how to use them for interpolation in practice. If time allows, we’ll see why kernel methods are ineffictive to solve Monge’s problem from Optimal Transport.
