Exploring Mixing Properties of the Simple Exclusion Process
In this presentation, we delve into properties of the one-dimensional simple exclusion process (SEP), a Markov Process defined on the integers or on a segment where particles follow a random walk and adhere to an exclusion rule.
Our focus is on the system’s mixing properties, which measure the time needed to converge to the invariant measure starting from the worst initial configuration. We highlight how the system’s properties can be used in this context.
